About ceramic fibre board
Ceramic fibre board is a rigid, vacuum-formed sheet that holds its shape and resists gas flow better than blanket. It is used as a hot-face lining in suitable conditions, as backing behind bricks and castables, and in burner and flue applications where a stiff panel is needed.

Board or blanket behind bricks?
Board gives a firm, even backing; blanket is better where surfaces are uneven or movement is expected.
